the finest threads
The man is not a representation of Saatchi but a personification of Saatchi's financial following, each artist Saatchi decides to invest in, instantly becomes an art star, their work too; The Emperors New Clothes syndrome but only loosely because i don't think Saatchi's intentions towards art are ill like the Tailor (he is not out to fool anybody), his opinion is regarded as law and will make any artist.
The Shark's to the side are a cheap punch at the hirst phenomena, Saatchi's crowned prince and probably to date one of the most controversial pieces to Saatchi's collection.
The quote was a reference to Saatchi himself and is taken straight from the title of his book.

The Emperors New Clothes
The story of the Emperor's New Clothes appeals to me because of the overwhelming assumed pretense in the modernistic art world. Movers and shakers like Saatchi can turn a meaningless artworks into multi-million pound collectors items on a whim. Saatchi has sculpted the contemporary art world, he is the tailor in the Hans Christian Anderson fable.
I have looked into other bits of symbolism in greed, money and fakery classically used in painting.
Egyptian gods, goetia daemons, tarrot symbols and greek gods, sins and their attributing punishments/symbols.

Symbolism in art (Botticelli)
Movements like the Pre-Raphaelites and Vanidas use symbolism heavily in their work as a kind of visual language to convey the message or mood of the painting often as visual metaphors, for example, Botticelli's Venus and Mars;
The image depicting Mars (the god of war) having been seduced by Venus (the god of love) has fallen to sleep and in this act is robbed of his weapon. The message love conquers hate?
Flowers, gods, daemons, fruit, skulls, instruments, water, ornaments where all symbols which convey part of a message. Vanitas relied solely on these mechanisms in their paintings.
I decided to look a little further into symbols and
found little sites that had a basic knowledge of the contemporary meanings for certain things like flowers
