The Emperors New Clothes

The story of the Emperor's New Clothes appeals to me because of the overwhelming assumed pretense in the modernistic art world. Movers and shakers like Saatchi can turn a meaningless artworks into multi-million pound collectors items on a whim. Saatchi has sculpted the contemporary art world, he is the tailor in the Hans Christian Anderson fable.

I have looked into other bits of symbolism in greed, money and fakery classically used in painting.

Egyptian gods, goetia daemons, tarrot symbols and greek gods, sins and their attributing punishments/symbols.
